Halliburton was an American travel writer and lecturer of the 1920s and 1930s. He organized transcontinental travel, photographs, and live lectures into publications for general and young readers including The Royal Road to Romance, The Flying Carpet, and Book of Marvels. In 1939 he disappeared while crossing the Pacific aboard Sea Dragon.
